For almost five years Cliff has been smiling through his shifts as a Dupré professional driver for the Energy Distribution Services division in Birmingham, AL. As a young boy born and raised in Birmingham, AL, Gaines admired big trucks on the road. In 2000, Cliff made that vision a reality when he started driving in the trucking industry. Today, Cliff continues to drive as he and his wife Lynnda raise their 14-year-old son. He jokingly comments that in his spare time, “I race. Just teasing – I work around the house and take it easy.” While on the road, Cliff listens to Gospel or Christian music. “Anytime it crosses my mind, I pray. After all, we drive gas trucks.” He chooses to work for Dupré because as he says, “It is a great company. When I first started, I saw that the company had good values and being a Christian man, I can handle that. I also like having the good relationship with my terminal manager.”
